In Flushing, Queens, New York, there’s a foot spa that’s become a local favorite—not just for people, but for a special dog, a 2-year-old golden retriever named Jackie. Jackie absolutely loves his visits to this spa; in fact, he comes here every weekend, regardless of whether it’s raining or storming.
From the moment Jackie walks into the spa, he’s bursting with excitement as if he’s about to go crazy any second. His tail wags furiously, and he practically bounces over to his usual spot. The spa’s soothing atmosphere, with its soft lighting and gentle music, seems to instantly calm him down.
The staff at the spa are fantastic with Jackie. They approach him with such care and patience, making sure he’s comfy from the start. They gently work on his paws, and you can tell they’re skilled and genuinely enjoy making Jackie feel special. Just look at Jackie—his eyes get half-closed, and he even sticks out his tongue, drooling so much that you can clearly see drops of saliva raining down to the floor.
After the massage, Jackie stretches his legs and torso back and forth, as if he’s practicing yoga on the chair. He then sniffs around a bit before jumping down. The massage seems to have significantly boosted the energy circulation in his legs. As a result, he stands up and begins walking upright on two legs, just like a human, with his body perfectly straight. It’s truly a remarkable sight. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it in my life. Yet, the owner doesn’t seem surprised at all.
Curious, I asked Jackie’s owner about this unusual phenomenon. The owner replied casually, “Oh, Jackie isn’t the only dog who walks like that. I’ve seen a few other dogs walking upright after getting a foot massage here.”
Who would have thought that a foot massage could turn a four-legged furry friend into a two-legged weird looking creature? Next time, I might not even be shocked if a dog starts speaking English.
